Día de los Muertos—or Day of the Dead—is a Mexican tradition honoring and remembering loved ones who have died. Celebrated primarily on November 1 and 2, it’s known for colorful altars, marigolds, favorite foods and belongings, and beautifully decorated skull imagery.

I can see this one going well beyond October. Make it in black and white for a graphic gothic look, go traditional with LOTS of color surrounding it, or choose two completely unexpected colors and make it your own.
