We’re starting to make the turn from fall into Christmas crochet, and this feels like the perfect pattern to take us there.

The Holiday Memories Blanket has a little extra meaning for me because I originally designed it for my best friend. She was remodeling a bedroom, and I wanted to create something for the space that felt warm, festive, and completely made for her.

And really, that’s one of the things I love most about crochet.

We start out choosing yarn and following rows on a pattern, but somewhere along the way, the project becomes connected to a person, a place, or a particular season of our lives. Years later, we don’t necessarily remember every stitch—but we remember who we made it for and why.

That’s what I wanted the Holiday Memories Blanket to capture: the warmth, traditions, and quiet evenings that make Christmas feel like Christmas.
