Safari Vibes Blanket

What happens when my husband asks me to design a blanket that’s less “picture” and more subtle and masculine?

Meet the Safari Vibes Blanket—my newest mosaic crochet pattern!

Instead of one central image (which is usually my design style), I pulled together some of my favorite elements from patterns like Baby Safari, Lion and Cub, and Fierce Feline and gave them a fresh new look.

And I have to say…I really love how his request pushed me outside my usual design box!

Safari Vibes is a Level 1–Easy pattern with no angle stitches, making it approachable if you’re newer to mosaic crochet—but there’s enough variety in the design to keep experienced crocheters happily stitching along, too.
