There are some designs that my pattern testers are especially excited to get their hands on—and the Christmas Tree Table Runner was definitely one of them!

I love getting to see a new design leave my own crochet hook and come to life again through my testers. Different yarns, different color choices, different hands doing the stitching…and suddenly one pattern has a whole collection of personalities.

This festive table runner measures approximately 35″ x 12″ and is Level 1–Easy, using only basic SCBLO and DCFLO mosaic stitches. No angle stitches. That makes it a great choice if you’re newer to mosaic crochet—or if you simply want a relaxing Christmas project that doesn’t require some of the more advanced techniques.

A very special thank you to Anita Schadeck, Grace Fey Strain, Kimberly Splawn, Shirley Sola Osborn, Kathy Weaver, and Victoria Crouse for testing this pattern and helping me get it ready for all of you.

If you were making this for your Christmas table, would you stick with traditional red and green—or choose something completely different?
