Level 2 – Advanced (angle stitches, tapestry color changes)

The America mosaic crochet blanket pattern is the perfect patriotic addition to any home! This pattern features the American flag and the words Stars and Stripes Forever in mosaic overlay crochet. This blanket will be a cherished gift for many years to come!

*An additional file was added to this design on 11.21.23 for an optional Level 1 star. This removes angle stitches. Both star options are now available.

This design is part of my Homeland series, and is an advanced skill level. It is recommended for crocheters with some experience in mosaic overlay. The tapestry color change technique is used for a small section in the middle for the American flags. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you’ll be a pro in no time!

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-mug-rug-2 This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.
